I found this site this morning while looking for foods from the region of Molise. My ancestors originate from this region, namely the village of Campolieto, which the header picture shows. As you can see, Campolieto is a mountain village. It’s not very large and when I viewed the city using Google maps, I could clearly see many red clay tile roof tops and farms.
I love the research I am doing. And for Christmas eve and Christmas day, I have quite a menu to plan that will be including my family’s sauce and meatball recipe, homemade pasta (using my new machine), antipasti and desserts.
